1984

1. Explore how your novel illustrates characteristics of a dystopian society.

In the novel 1984 by George Orwell. He illistrates the setting. Everyone has a TV in their house, that watches them. All previous history has been wiped out that occured before the dystopian society. The history that has occured during the dystopian time constantly changes, as the government changes the history to make themselves look perfect in every way.

2. What comment or criticism is your novel making on current society?

The novel is saying that our society could turn to this at any second. The novel also hints that this could already he happening, where the government is changing history to make themselves appear better. An example is on 911 where the plane appariently just vanished when it hit a government building. Leaving only a few scraps of metal and a huge hole in the building. Nothing was reported on this. In the novel they change history every day.
